I don't know if you've ever seen Fernwood 2 Night, but between him and Fred Willard, it's like a master class in comic timing.
I have not, and from what I just read on IMDB, it looks kinda like 30 Rock if it was produced 40 years prior. Also, appears to be on the Archive in its entirety.
I'd say closer to Comedy Bang Bang.
