what yall think is the most wildest subreddit you even been to

Mwas alt (prob)@thelemmy.club to Reddit@lemmy.world – 17 points –

for me r/teenagers or r/youngpeopleyoutube from what i remember

44

A Long time ago, there was a sub called /r/onetruegod or something like that. They shopped the head of Nicolas Cage on every person on photographs.

A similar subreddit did that with the head of scary bilbo from The lord of the rings. (The scene were he sees the ring around Frodos neck). They shopped the face on people in porn or on pretty women. Don’t ask.

Not the wildest, but r/testtubebabes was pretty fuckin wild. It was about 50/50 whether the posts were genuine or just messing around.

One of the worst ones I ever saw was r/nomorals; videos of straight up assaults, murders, and all kinds of violence that actually made me feel sick. I'm glad it got banned.

The first one from the subreddits name sounds disgusting

Second one is gore in reddit

What was the first one about?

Photoshopped pictures of women, but they were turned into horrifying monstrosities. Like some might be missing arms, or have six of them, or their arms and legs might be switched, or they have no head and their face is in their torso.

Weird shit like that.

Small dick problems. Insecure guys with tiny dicks.

Asian masculinity? Think it was called. it was the the most misogynistic hellscspe with Asian centric bias

/r/opieandanthony Vile den of shitposting for a dead radio show. Got banned after flying too close to sun. RIP 🙏

Crazyfuckingvideos and tooktoomuch for morbid people watching.

I can't remember which one, but there were a couple filled with crypto millionaire-wannabes with a libertarian slant that would share tips that always seemed off. And people in the comments would be so sure that THIS time it would be the big break if people just "hodl" or shorted a stock but were literally thousands in debt for investing everything in Truth Social. It wasn't r/wallstreetbets but it rose shortly after r/thedonald fell. That's all I remember because it felt like staring into the sun. *shudder*

Also r/detrans. What an enormous shithole full of people with awful takes and a conscious stream of hate. It had a huge slant against science and parroted misinfo about the human body and society, always punching down on trans folks, though they pretended not to. I know a few of them were detransitioners, but I'm convinced that the entire sub was planted by some conservatwat to rally hate.

the userbase of r/detrans prolly consists of actual detransitioners to the same extent that the userbase of r/teenagers consists of actual teenagers.

That's what I used to think until a few of them shared their pictures and stories and they sounded believable so I don't think it was all fake. But that's all you need, right, just a couple of voices to point to, to seem justified in that ridiculous crusade.

right. it's not all fake, but the size of the sub is wildly disproportionate to the statistics we have on detransitioners (some of whom will ultimately choose to transition again, which is not reflected by the stats).

I remember hearing that r/teenagers is people under 13 or pdf files (ifyky)

  • It's all nsfw things and yeah

Insane they are investing in a far right social media and losing money yeah they are filled with the most racist stuff ever

Right now it's canada_sub, which is a bunch of paid russian actors saying all kinds of fucked up stuff

That sub is a far right racist cesspit.

It's not only that, it's not even canadians posting the content

Really?

/r/Canada is almost just as bad.

Well lets not exaggerate here, at least half of the people in /r/canada are real people haha

On my reddit account I was banned from /r/onguardforthee and from /r/metacanada and /r/canadaleft are literal morons so I was actually posting in /r/canada a bit. I think lots of people wash up there because the moderation is intense on alternate subs

/r/canada has really relaxed moderation and I still appreciate it for that

/r/Canada is just as bad as /r/canada_sub a lot of the time.

I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. /r/canada_sub is ran by LITERAL RUSSIANS.

Surprised r/spacedicks hasn't been mentioned yet.

What is it about?

Never had the balls to visit, sending people there was a running joke, actually my highest ever post was a Fr Ted meme referencing r/spacedicks (the one we're Dougal shouldn't press the big red button)

It was mostly nsfl stuff from what I gathered.

There was one where women shared stories of them getting raped, because they found this to be arousing. Most of the time, they were intentionally putting themselves in situations where they expected the risks of getting raped to be higher.

Examples:

  • Going to the bar showing a lot of skin, flirting, and drinking too much, or pretending to be drunk.
  • Going to a man's home, and pretending to fall asleep, with a skirt.
  • Showing off her naked body next to a busy highway.

I think they even had insider jargon.

Can't find it anymore, maybe it was closed. It's been a long while I've even went on Reddit at all.

Why put your life in danger just for a subreddit

I think the thrill and pleasure was what they were after. The subreddit was just for sharing and encouraging eachother. But yea, really dangerous fantasy to act on.
