People have been posting memes. Frankly I don't know what this means for the legacy of 196.
lol
normal 196 stuff, the people still hate cops and wish that trump's head was blown off, though there's been more memes than usual which is concerning
Lots of posts with "rule" in the title. That's about all.
as there should be
Moderation is a problem here? It's been awhile since I've seen someone misbehaving. Generally it was being offensive to individuals or groups of people in a post.
But the last one I saw was months ago.
Most mods on lemmy simply ban/delete/censor people they personally don't like; the price of destroying conversations and interesting discussions to change nothing about the "safety" of the nearly non-existent community.
Our mod team is very carefully curated, as every moderator has full equal power.
It's important to always have someone available, so I try to have new people come in as mods get tired and take a few months off.
TLDR: in order to maintain such a high quality digital space, we always need a flow of new mod applicants.
Have a coconut. 🥥
edit: Also, you missed the 196 Wizard War.
THERE WAS A WIZARD WAR???
The outlawing of the testicular torsion spell by the great council was not taken well by those who practiced it.
Edit mistyped
😬
There was..
it was horrible
IDK. I didn't mind it.
I remember you! you were the one that cast Power Word: Scrunch, you monster! The wizard council will hear of this
I personally prefer this version of the greentext: https://youtube.com/shorts/Vvj9Gyel35s
