You can watch your dog run away for 3 days.

Saskatchewan is mostly hummocky, though, since it's surgical geology is primarily glacial till. Not a pile of topography, but definitely not flat.

South central Manitoba on the other hand? Former glacial Lake Agassiz basin. So flat, you can watch your dog run away, fall in love with another dog in Steinbach, and raise a family

I've been to Northern Saskatchewan a few times (Stony Rapids), it's gorgeous up there.

Oh hey that's ACTUALLY in the north of the province.

You'll hear Canadians say something about a "northern" city in their province and you go to look it up and it's only like 1/3rd of the way up.

I bet the night sky is beautiful though. I was floored by the stars while in rural New Zealand. Stars like sand.
