oh no, what happened to this sublemmy?

Are people flocking back to reddit? Is the revolt over already?

The wave of the reddit protests is over, now lemmy must grow on its own merits rather than being "not reddit".

Unsure, I had to block bot@lemmit.online because my feed kept getting filled with copypasta from reddit.

I have to admit, as much as I like looking at accidental rennaissance, I haven't really looked for content to submit. :(

Right? Geez that was annoying! Especially for text posts! I get reposting memes to an extent, but reposting AITA threads...

Haii :3
I forgrt what is an accidentak renaissance meme :C
Have not been posting many OC memes, bad Franzia, but next week I will. Reddit sucks. But we do have a lot of communities on Lemmy, it's... kind of distracting to give them all enough love. I got burnt out on news shit so I'm sorting by Local now.

I feel it's generally getting emptier here. Lots and lots of 0 comment posts all over.

@Tenshi
I like this community the way it is. If there would be more frequent posts - good. Same frequency - good either.

Mod here.

The thing that would help the most is if people actually, you know, posted stuff?

We haven't flocked back to Reddit, but it's difficult to remember to stop by when almost nothing changes day to day.

It's very specific community and I would imagine the content suitable for it is rare so you would need many pairs of eyes to find more content. The community needs to grow much more.

I'm just lurking here occasionally (I would check it more often if the app made me pay attention to my subscriptions) and if I were to find content I might hesitate to post because maybe mods would think it's not renaissance enough. But I'll try to remember this community if I ever find some accidental renaissance elsewhere.

We're being more lax this time around, at least for now, because the community is small.

We had to be stricter in the subreddit because the volume of posts was insane and anytime something didn't quite "measure up" to peoples' (absolutely batshit insane) expectations, the comment section demanded mod blood sacrifices.

So if something doesn't quite "measure up"? Eh, no big deal. We're not writing down the usernames of the naughty users that post something that's 20% too baroque.
