I hope she’s fine somewhere

Yeah, they say she's in Europe, and imho she's also candidate for the Nobel Peace prize.

so russians actually do have war heroes this time. and it's a girl.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

MOSCOW, Oct 4 (Reuters) - A Russian court sentenced former state TV journalist Marina Ovsyannikova, who burst into a news broadcast with a placard that read "Stop the war" and "They're lying to you", to eight and half years in jail in absentia on Wednesday.

Ovsyannikova was found guilty of "spreading knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces", according to a statement posted by the court on Telegram.

Ovsyannikova, 45, fled Russia with her daughter for an unspecified European country a year ago after escaping from house arrest, according to her lawyer, saying she had no case to answer.

She had staged her original protest less than three weeks after Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, in what it called a "special military operation".

😅

It's a bot with a funny human touch 😊

WOW literally read the other day about a Russian who killed a woman and put her through a meat grinder got 11 years, but only served half and got a pardon for going to the front line in Ukraine.

I remember when her action hit the news. Very inspiring, a woman to look up to. Glad she fled, to evade this horrible sentence.

I'm sure the streets are flooded by people objecting to the harshness of the sentence. /s
