I was hoping to read about actual wolly mammoths.

Me too. Like obviously I could just go and read about mastodons now, but it just wouldn't be the same experience.

Did you know that mastodons were relatively short? Despite being nearly 40% more massive than modern African elephants, the American Mastodon was 25% shorter on average!

7 is a big one for me, I feel like mastodon's worst enemy is it's own developers.

Myth 11: Microblogging is a healthy and productive use of your time.

Myth 12: political discourse online will lead to consensus and alleviate fears.

Honestly, i haven't seen much people arguing about politics on Mastodon. It is a very nice place in that sense.
