Unfortunately in some developed nations people are worked to death and buried under debt so they decide not to have kids, or are simply not left with a choice at all. Also, well educated societies can also see the world heading in a bad direction, economically, environmentally, and/or politically and decide to be responsible and not being a child into such a world. Unfortunately, the latter means we leave the world to an ever increasing population of idiots.
