Yeah he wraps it up in a neat little package to make it seem like he's just trying to be a benevolent journalist, but anyone with two or three functioning brain cells can read between the lines here. It amazes me that Fox news viewers can't connect the dots on even the simplest of lies.
If you connect the dots you're more likely to see the shape, and they don't want to see it (or admit out loud yet that they see it)

That would require thinking about things they're not specifically told about, and fox "news" programming inherently selects against people with that ability. Anyone who has that ability will stop watching Fox because they'll quickly see through the lies and stop watching.
