TRT is state owned Turkish media. You may want to seek this story out from a more trusted source before deciding on the veracity of the claims. I'm skeptical until something more comes along.

BNN is reporting it ... as has Semafor and the News International.

EDIT - It is weirdly telling I don't see any American outlets reporting it tho.

Only fringe wack jobs being reprinted. What is claimed is very illegal in the US and the Corpos have no interest in dying on this hill. Simply does not pass the smell test.

Semafor isnt American?

You're right. I should have said "any of the larger, more well-known MSMs" instead.

Yes, that is telling. I think I misread the tone of your comment. Sorry about that.

No worries.

Imo it's always better to say something than possibly let dumb shit pass.

Bias is not the same thing as credibility. I will continue share the typically sidelined credible Arab and Muslim voices reporting on events.

You are not a skeptic if you reject information you don't want to be true or sources you don't like. Skeptics research things to see if they could be false.

Searching for a western source and sharing your results is an example of skeptical and constructive behavior. Please be better.

"A company official vehemently pushed back against any notion that either Hasan or Mohyeldin were being sidelined in any way. Over the past several days, Mohyeldin has appeared on several programs on MSNBC as a guest including shows hosted by Reid and Chris Hayes. While he did not host Reid’s show, a network official said that the cable channel opted to stick with its more recognizable weekday hosts rather than hand over the reins to weekend anchors. Hasan’s Peacock show is taped, and the network official said his show was shelved in favor of keeping coverage on the NBC streaming service more up-to-date."

Why is this incorrect?

Rejecting info you don't want to be true to me just translates to ignoring information because you don't like it. That's basically a minor step from ignoring fact.

As a skeptic I do not accept claims until they have been sufficiently demonstrated.

There's nothing wrong with discounting sources which are unreliable. State controlled media from Türkiye, a country rapidly sliding toward authoritarianism, gives me serious doubt. That doesn't mean it's not true, but it does mean that I'm not willing to accept it based on their reporting.

Also, I never claimed it wasn't true, simply that I would be careful basing my beliefs on non credible sources.

Ffs.

MSNBC can either be honest about what they're doing or they can fuck right off. Trying to hide the truth isn't gonna help them in any way.

They've denied they're doing this at all, and as near as I can tell, they're not. The report appears to be incorrect.

If you have any reports from other sources please link them here.

Just the statement from MSNBC denying it. But I saw Mohyeldin myself on MSNBC within the last day or so, and the only reason Hassan's show hasn't aired is that it's pre-taped. MSNBC isn't airing any pre-taped shows right now, with world events being what they are.

If they were airing other pre-taped shows, I'd wonder, but they're not.

I'm not sure how anybody can take any of the big media empires seriously any longer.
