Her argument is basically Hamas hates gender equality, so if you support gender equality, you should be down with killing Palestinian civilians getting bombed to hell?

Does she not really understand that you can be against the intolerance and war crimes of both Israel AND Hamas?

A large portion of the population is incapable of understanding any conflict where there isn't a clearly defined "good" and "bad" side. In their eyes whichever side did The Worst Thing is Bad, and thus the other side is automatically Good and anything they do is justified.

There is a conversation to be had about antisemitism in the Black community (the Black Israelites come to mind), but holy shit is this not an effective way to have it.

Disappointing to hear the racist rhetoric coming from someone who is decrying racism. I think she could learn a lot from just going over what she actually said. Perhaps she would hear the hypocrisy of her words.

She isn’t wrong that Jews are the first to speak up when there’s injustice. Jews have been speaking against the occupation of Palestine since before it was occupied

Was gonna say, what I learned while growing up in church indicates that Canaan might like a word.

The story of the exodus out of Egypt might be full of crap- there’s evidence suggesting most Israelites were (and always have been,) in the area. There’s some indication migrants, if one form or another, may have contributed the exodus story to the broader Israelite culture.

That said, even with that bejng true, Palestinians have also always been there. And we look at hatfields and mccoys as being an epic feud.
