what kind of run are you doing right now?

Let's post about our current runs!

Are you doing vanilla? Modded?

What's your goal? What are you finding interesting?

I love the game absolutely do. But with the amount of time it takes I am in the "watch youtubers in the background" run.

Modded with factorio plus plus at the moment..

Theory crafting of I want a modular base or a city block base. Now that I have launched the rocket.

You have to be the first person I found who also has a run using Factorio Plus Plus! I recorded this run for YT but it never got many views, so I never played past blue science. How did you manage the split ores like cuprumferrit?

Doing a simple run with bitters enable for the first time. It's interesting how it changes the game completely, i'm always looking at the map view to see my turrets coverage.

I attempted another vanilla run because I was hoping to get the achievements. After realizing that one of the achievements is beat the game in less than 8hrs I kinda lost interest haha. I also just built a shit base I couldn’t defend. But I’m hoping to build up to space exploration and convince some friends to join! I’m thinking I’ll probably do a play through of vanilla>krastorio>maybe 1-2 other mods>SE. I also got really into trains in the last base which was a central bus design. So it may be time to start a modular run.

The 8 hour achievement is valid for multiplayer, making it a bit easier and fun.

It’s very cheesy, but for the 8 hour run I found a map seed online that starts you on a large island with little to no biter presence and all the necessary materials for a rocket. Doing so allowed me to focus only on building as quickly as possible.

My new year's resolution (if you can call it that) is to get all achievements (in vanilla). So I'm currently trying the "lazy bastard" with some extras like no solar added.

I'll go first, I'm doing a K2 run currently I have the north half of my base doing main bus to a mall, southern half in trying to arrange into a combination of city blocks and main bus.

I've got ore enrichment going for iron plates and starting to add more. Taking longer than normal but having fun and getting distracted with decorations and such.

Doing my first attempt at a mega base, designing everything myself, doing all the mistakes and trying to correct them. Right now Im just barely running a silo (with 4 beacons) at full time and mining level 21. Yeah, and no biters.

What's a silo?

I currently have a megabase attempt at mining level 45 with 232spm and 272 hours. Biters are still on but are mostly a nuisance at this point. I'll disable them when UPS becomes an issue, which seems to be looming in the not too distant horizon.

Im waiting for space age to come out. So meanwhile I'm playing baldurs gate

140 hours into a train world with maxed resource requirements with the absolute wrong settings for biter spawns.

I can't find any damn iron patches that dose not require nukes. I just unlocked bots but im nearly dry on iron intake. Need to transition to eletric furnaces but guess what, no iron.

There really isn't the biggest point upgrading to electric furnaces unless you have modules. As the electric furnaces is just as fast as the steel furnace.

If you don't have nukes, turret creep with bots os super effective also

DangOreous run with the randomized ores setting and automated blueprints mod, just to see if i'll be able to effectively sort and process the ores, and because i liked the idea of making a miner that automatically moves forward when it runs out of ore

Friend is running an SE server that we are slowly whittling away at

I am doing a Krastorio 2 + Space Exploration playthrough. I had one restart after 100 hours to play with biters disabled, as I realized I would never finish it in single player like that.

My goal is to get to the "Krastorio 2" ending before Factorio Space Age comes out.

Currently I have the starting planet Nauvis as the main production hub with hundreds of trains, collecting materials from and sending supplies to 10 planets and space stations via a fully automated cargo rocket system I call "The Interplanetary Post Office", plus an orbital platform focused on science.

400 hours in and almost completed a full set of Tier 1 science catalogues.

Trying to restart SE

The early game is so slow though, I haven’t played at default speed in forever. I normally add a time acceleration mod to speed some stuff up, but decided I wanted to do it slowly this time.

Currently I'm doing a pure vanilla run to officially get all of the achievements I missed in previous games (Lazy Bastard, The 3rd tier circuit ones, Minions, and even Watch Your Step).

It took me an embarrassing 15:15:00 to launch a rocket with default ores and no pollution spreading, even though I'd previously done a vanilla run in under 7 hours. My current base has much more spaghetti than that one. Now I gotta scale up to get the rest of the achievements.

After that, I'll either go back to my vanilla megabase attempt (272h), my Bob's/Angel's base to get all the SpaceX stuff (currently launched 1 rocket at 123h), or start a K2 run.

I just started playing for the first time after being gifted a Steam Deck this Christmas. My brothers have been telling me about this game for years and I’ve always been intrigued. I even played a VERY basic spin on the concept on my phone called Builderment and spend probably 10 hours playing around with that over a few months.

Since Christmas I’ve spend 55 hours playing vanilla Factorio. The first hour was playing through a few tutorials. The rest has all been on one playthrough. After I researched Robotics two days ago and unlocked the additional logistics chests last night, I’ve gotten my first four nuclear reactors online and begin completely transforming my base from the ground up and expanding outward.

I haven’t been using any guides or wiki articles but I did look up the concept of the main bus around hour 30 when my spaghetti base was becoming unmanageable. This game is so freaking amazing.

I only recently got the game, and last night I finally built rocket silo in vanilla.

Little did i realise how much stuff it takes to actually craft a rocket.

So now i am in the "scrap everything else and feed the silo I want to finally finish this game" run.

Did not learn about robots until very late in the game, and so I'm making a complete mess trying to retro fit them into my base.

As a new player, and programmer by profession, I have to say, this game has changed the way I think and code and I absolutely love it.

Next play through I'm going to try and build a bus, and make all my sub components in separate areas instead of zones for each science. I built myself into way too many corners and couldnt scale much.
