If it happens literally every time you read: ADHD.
This is true of a shit ton of symptoms of ADHD and probably why it isn't treated seriously and goes undiagnosed in many people.
Adhd is not usually diagnosed for one of these symptoms. But if you have a lot of them there's a pattern of likelihood that you have it.
I'm diagnosed and one of my biggest issues with adhd is this reading issue for me. Which also gets compounded with my less than half of the usual short term memory length of around 8 and a half seconds.
I have been diagnosed with ADHD and I struggle to read books because of exactly this, where my partner, also diagnosed, loves reading.
I guess if every ADHD symptom is continued to be downplayed as "everyone does this," then no, it's not exclusively an ADHD thing
Ok so what Iโm about to say is my own experience canโt speak for anyone else but IMO with my ADHD itโs basically a normal brain with some attributes for better or for worse are enhanced
Like yeah everyone loses focus sometimes, everyone sometimes just stops processing language, everyone gets distracted by something, everyone gets excited about a topic they like, and so on
But as one of my favorite posts said: โeveryone pees, but when you pee 60 times a day you should probably see a doctorโ
No, attention issues can be caused by depression, anxiety, stress, bad sleep hygiene or problems like sleep apnea, and many other things.
Is that exclusively ADHD thing though?

No, but every meme posted can't be a universally accepted, whole view of what ADHD is.

What?
I don't know
No, ADHD is being trapped in your own head, screaming at yourself to fucking move while your body reads on unhindered by your plans or obligations.
That sounds like executive dysfunction which is a big part of ADHD.
Yeah, both are symptoms.
And thinking about the movie you'd make after each page / chapter.
Oh my god, YES
Down to the lenses I'd use and everything
Fish eye lense?
Waughm waughm
I'm thinking vintage soviet lenses like from Helios and Jupiter, with a bit of Pentacon and Minolta Rokkor sprinkled in
No, that's just being stoned.
