Non-fiction books that are like the Bible to you? Books that you've checked to remember some facts a few times as opposed to reading them for pleasure.

Historical fiction?

Yeah loaded question to say the least lol

I don't think any of the post is right. I have read the Bible cover to cover a couple of times. And it is very much not non-fiction. Maybe OP hasn't read it and didn't know.

If there were any books that were like the Bible to me, Iโ€™d never want to read them again, and consider them the worst examples of fiction Iโ€™ve ever read.

In my line of work, the โ€œBibleโ€ is the Chicago Manual of Style. It is the deciding factor of what is โ€œrightโ€ in editing.

Video Game manuals, specially if they have pretty art designs.

National Geographic Kids Almanac. Read them as a kid and I learned a lot from them.

Also the dictionary. I need to make sure I use my shiny new hard words the right way.

Das Kapital, really want to read it some day but I cannot even get past the 5 first pages ๐Ÿ˜“

"The subtle art of not giving a f*ck"

"The 7 habits of highly effective people" - this one in particular.
