also you don't need to worry about this unless you buy a fancy Copilot Plus PC rule

  1. Carefully read every Privacy Policy Update, Terms of Service, and Security Update Release Notes for the rest of your life to make sure it isn't stealth-reenabled.
  1. Put a recurring event in your calendar to also make sure they didnt sneaky reenable it anyways.
  2. Set up monitoring to warn you of irregular activities originating from your pc, just in case they reenable it for everyone without telling they did and denying it.
  1. Get frustrated and switch to Linux

  1. worry about your friends and family still using windows
  2. worry about how recall seems to be designed to be extra portable
  3. argue with yourself that actually its no wonder its made from sqlite, as its a recognized archival format, unlike microsofts own database wares
  4. argue with yourself that it really really looks like it was made to get "evidence" from a computer more easily but surely it wont be that bad
  5. marvel at how generous microsoft suddenly seems to be at the prospect of not-MS using a user's data... they could have asked for a ms access license or something or made it optional and to pay... but then people might not buy npu equiped pcs... what else could you do with an npu in "everyones" homes?

Ok we'll not store images on your box. Now, about classifying your usage and notifying authorities if it falls outside of parameters...

Laughs in Linux.

Cries in gamedev and Linux still not having proper pro-audio support

What's missing in PipeWire for it to be "pro audio"? Genuine question, since I've been making some music casually and heard from music producers that it's actually quite good.

What I'm missing is compatibility of applications.

If you're interested, I have a good experience with yabridge for running Windows VSTs in Linux-native DAWs. If it's the applications themselves, then I have no experience. I ran the FL Studio demo in Wine for a few minutes but that's essentially the end of my experience, since I have Reaper.

Next question: driver support for the Arturia Minifuse on Linux?

Seems to have an ALSA UCM configuration since 2022: https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf/issues/220

If I've understood this correctly, it should just work, and PipeWire should understand the interface.

Thank you, now my only issue will be me having to pirate the few free plugins came with my interface if they'll have DRM issues with whatever compatibility layer there is for Linux DAWs.

Same here. I guess as soon as Microsoft marketing found out how much power this could give them, all disagreements will be "fixed" in the next mandatory update, the switch to disagree will vanish, and the screenshots will be "backed up" on their own servers.

step 1: Open a window. It doesn't matter which one step 2: throw your computer through the window.
