The Israeli military is reportedly preparing to invade Lebanon while continuing to launch extensive airstrikes across the country, forcing tens of thousands to flee. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reports the death toll has reached at least 569 people, with more than 1,800 wounded.

Israeli strikes have killed United Nations employees, medical workers, at least one journalist and 50 children over the past two days. Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets at Israel, including a long-range missile fired toward Tel Aviv that was intercepted by Israeli air defense systems.

“Lebanese civilians are paying the price,” says Aya Majzoub in Beirut, Amnesty International’s deputy director for the Middle East and North Africa, who calls Israel’s attacks “unprecedented” and “devastating.” “In a single day, on Monday, more than 500 people were killed. … It is one of the highest daily death tolls in recent global wars.”

Utter fucking insanity. Israel must be stopped.

Clearly the best course of action is to call netanyouhoo and give him a stern look, telling him we have concerns.

Ukraine can't bomb the nation actively invading them but Israel can attack all of its neighbors

The industry benefits most from Israel attacking its neighbors as well as Ukraine's defense being prolonged to the maximum extent possible.

Makes sense from that perspective to me.

Israel is a rogue state.

It's not rogue. They're doing exactly what everyone knew they would and nobody really cares because they're killing brown people who believe in a different imaginary friend.

Pretty sure this is the norm. Did you sleep through Iraq and Afghanistan?

Countless resolutions in the UN show that it's not an accepted international norm or policy, but unfortunately nothing can actually be done while the behemoth US exercises its power.

The ability to disrespect UN resolutions is kind of the expected, normal outcome for any entity within America's sphere of influence.

I mean, I guess that makes sense, when you go nazi, might as well go full nazi.

I wish we would see some strike actions here in the US around manufacturing and transporting these weapons. Obviously nobody with any political power seems ready to pump the brakes on a genocide, but I wish what's left of our unions would.
