It's nice to read about them actually acting on warnings and stopping such an attack for once.

There are a lot of potentially violent events that are quietly prevented every day that most people don't hear about.

"mass casualty event" at Tesla headquarters in Texas during a Cybertruck promotion attended by Elon Musk, prosecutors said.

The suspect also appeared to object to technology in modern life.

“I wanna die. My thoughts haven’t been free for over a year. All the electronics around me,” he wrote, according to the arrest warrant.

Last part sounds like schizophrenia.

Similar to Ted Kaczynski.

Ted was not a good dude but he was right. We're all slaves to technology now.

To the extent that it's true, it has been true since the invention of agriculture. Maybe even pointy sticks. People with technology force everyone around them to adopt similar technology, either to resist them or to comply with their demands.
