Conservatism is the foundation of fascism.
I see no issues with the people in power taking away the tools needed to prevent them from abusing power. That doesn't sound like an abuse of power in and of itself whatsoever. Who knew that conservatives are so sneaky?

Investigators provided extensive evidence of the ruthless and oppressive tactics employed by the ’Ndrangheta in Calabria to control the local community, including violent attacks, extortion and corruption in public contracts.
