Finally managed to arrange a babysitter, so we're going out on a date night tomorrow!
I'm really looking forward to spending some quality time with my partner.

Enjoy!

I've been trying to organise a date night with my wife but finding a sitter for six kids is tricky.

A quick bathroom renovation rip up floor, replace floor and install new shower base.nn not how I thought I'd be spending the last weekend of my holidays lol, but it's better than falling through the floor.

How do you know it better than falling through the floor if you've never tried it?

How do you know I haven't already experienced the thrill of falling through the floor? How do you think I found out I needed to redo my floor lol.

Hmm, I may have made some incorrect assumptions. Enjoy your our renovation project!

Some family will be in town. So, probably spending some time with them. But also hoping to do some cleaning around the house.

Being an adult/parent is fun.

DnD with my friends on Saturday.

Edit: one friend is sick so DnD falls flat 😭. I guess more Helldivers 2 it is.

Visiting a friend's house for a game night. Board games, card games etc.

Have to take my kid to a birthday party, then I was hoping to sew a shirt and make some cookies.

I think a new Marjane opened in my city. Maybe I should check that one out.

Context: Marjane is basically the biggest supermarket chain here in Morocco, it's been around since the 90s. Yet for some reason, my city (which is located in disputed territory) never got a location until earlier this month. We didn't even get a McDonald's until 2017, and to this day, there's only one, whereas in cities like Agadir there's like three.

Finally sunny and dry enough to go for a nice long bike ride. Afterwards probably playing Factorio for the rest of the evening/night/morning.

Going skiing. But I live on the east coast so unfortunately very little snow 😔

My mom is coming from out of town to visit me and hopefully will meet my new gf while she's here.

In some order:

Laundry, grocery shopping, clean up around the house a bit, play some video games, maybe buy some stuff online.

Swimming lessons for the kids in the morning, then eye examinations for four of them. Home for lunch, then pressure cleaning the courtyard and laying fresh mulch in preparation for toilet training my 6 week old puppies.

I'll also clean out the aviary and last fresh sand for the quails if I have time, then probably a family movie, enchiladas for dinner followed by whatever my eight year old bake.

Just another Saturday.

Thankfully, not a lot going on this weekend. Getting my taxes done tomorrow afternoon, but that shouldn’t take long so I should have a lovely weekend of mostly doing nothing of significance to anyone.

Hit the gym, do chores, try to reduce my library book backlog - I have holds set up to get books I'm interested in on a regular schedule, and I'm behind on my current checked-out pile of books, so I have to decide what to cut out.

Also planning to try out a couple of new recipes 😋

Work. Going in on Saturday for a shift, but also getting the garden beds ready for spring veggies and putting up wood paneling in the master bedroom.

I should be driving Uber, but I got a little sick so instead I’m playing Space Engineers on the xbox.

The game is super fun but, after about 20 hours in my game world, I noticed a thing at the bottom of the screen that says I’ve used up 93,000 of my 100,000 PCU. So I’m almost at the limit of what I can build and I’ve barely just begun the game.

Haven’t even gotten to space! The whole game has been me slowly getting to the point where I’ve got a rover hardy enough to trek to some distant mountains so I can gather ice.

Tomorrow is the last of the Eurovision national selections so we'll be engrossed in that! Then currently undecided about whether to go the cinema on Sunday or not, we're out next weekend for a thing and leaving the house two weekends in a row would maybe be a bit much...
