Anybody Know Of Any Foss AI Logo Generators?
I'm trying to find one that I can use for free but they all charge between $40-$100 for an AI generated logo! I just want one for a company in my Starfinder game!

I think you can just ask most general purpose models to make a logo. I literally just asked Google Gemini “Create a logo for my starfinder company” and it created some reasonably good logos
Dawg just draw one
Have some logos. We can say they are CC-BY licensed if you want to use one.
Your own Stable Diffusion?
I do not, what is it?
They mean you can generate a logo using your own Stable Diffusion. It's an open AI image generation tool you can run on your own computer.
That said, do you need it to be a vector graphic?
No, anything will do. It's just for a virtual table top. I've gotten so pretty decent ones out of the generic AI's so those were great suggestions!
If you have a (preferably NVIDIA) GPU, you could run one of the many applications that use Stable Diffusion on your PC. I have only used these before:
Fooocus: Really easy to set up, but not really meant to be used with other custom models, has lots of artstyles to choose from.
Automatic1111: Also pretty easy to set up, maybe a little bit harder. You have to download the models from somewhere else, but its much easier to import them and it has lots of options.
Fooocus will probably suffice, just select a fitting art style to get a good look.
Thanks for the detailed write up. I'll take a look at Fooocus.
In the professional graphic design world, a logo isn't just an "icon".
Any graphic designer worth his/her salt first asks some questions, gets to know the type of business, what the owner wants to convey, etc... and then creates something that reflects that. It's why illustrator software will usually have a sort of "scratch board" functionality, where you can quickly develop various iterations until you get to the one that says what you want it to say.
Generating a shitty AI logo not only denigrates actual iconography, but cheapens the professionals who struggle in that field every day as their own work get's less and less appreciated.
Rant over...
It's for a tabletop roleplaying game, I ain't hiring a professional lol.
No no. I get that. My rant was more about the existence of A.I logo creators in general. A soulless program can't create anything except soulless icons, which is not what a professional logo is about.
But it works perfect for a soulless corporation in a sci-fi setting aha.
Grab a copy of Adobe Illustrator from the high seas then and do it yourself. Vector graphics are actually pretty easy so long as you aren't trying to make anything too complex.
(I know you said FOSS, but) I'd try Bing Image Creator for such a small job first. It's free, and you can just tell it to generate a logo with the style you're looking for.
If that doesn't suit your needs, you can always fall down the rabbithole of selfhosting Stable Diffusion, but it's probably more effort than it's worth.
I can draw you one for free if you want?
Your time and effort are valuable! Please do not work for free! Especially if someone will be profiting from your work!
If that's your concern, I can also draw you one! Don't worry, my time is not valuable, and the end result will be bad. Let me know!
Just start a new thread and draw logos for Lemmy accounts without asking. Make them as obnoxious as possible and ping them so they see it. Actually start a whole community doing that. Use this thread as your basis and then look at their username and post history to come up with something stupid. I'll pay you in up votes, I look forward to what you can do for @SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world.
I’ve never said anything stupid though.
But when you do...
He wants it for a game. Otherwise you're right.
Thanks for the offer but I was able to make an AI make a decent one!

It says character generator, but you can totally use it for other stuff. It's just stablediffusion. I've used it to generate illustrations of locations to show to my Pathfinder players.
Self-Hosting your own model?
