I'm only a few hours in, but it's an amazing experience so far.

isn't it like a 100GB download? I was preparing to download it from gog.com, but realized that I didn't have room :(

I think download ist ~97gb and after install it's ~125gb

Just bought the game and my internet is downloading it at a whopping 6 Mbps right now... Gonna take nearly 48 hours.

Saddest part is that the internet is usually much much slower than this so it will likely take much longer than that 😭😭😭

I just wanna plaaayyyy

Just bought a new SSD today because I wanted to try it 😜

Has gog updated it? Yesterday is was still the old version.

I want to support these games so that other devs will take note. This is what gamers want.

I probably would have waited to buy it in a year or two when the price drops, but after reading up on the dev, the widespread acclaim the game is getting, and the fact that they released it on GOG DRM-free from the get go, I went ahead and bought the damn thing at full price. We need to send the industry a message that good behavior is rewarded. I’m only a few hours in, and I’m seriously overwhelmed, but giddy at the prospect of mastering this thing. Helps that it’s a gorgeous game that runs smooth as butter in 4K…

I'm so glad to hear it, honestly! DnD's been an absolute favourite hobby of mine and it's really nice to see it going a bit more mainstream while preserving the things that make it special (the ability to do almost anything you can think of).

(Now to get Pathfinder one of these...)

Have you played Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous?

I really liked that game, until the crusade management stuff started and I bounced off pretty hard. I'll give it another go in the future, I'm sure though.

You can do away with the crusade management if you want. There is a setting that makes it automatic. It’s really easy once you know the tricks though. Focus on one big general, save before each fight and reload if you suffer anything other than very minimal losses, and eventually any losses at all. Stack the good archers, forget their names but they have a fancy pointy hat on. They will kill most any unit in a single attack.

It wasn't the difficulty, but the change in game play. I knew about the setting to do automatic crusade, but didn't end up trying it.

Has anyone played it on GeForce Now and can share their experience? I have a potato and was hoping to play this on Stadia, but you all know how that went.

I’ve been playing it through my SteamDeck on GeForce Now, it looks and runs fantastic! I’ve also hooked my laptop up to my TV, and found the game through GeForce to be a bit blurry there, but otherwise runs just as well.

Is there a benefit to doing this instead of just running it natively on SD? The store page says it's SD verified.

Guessing you get higher resolution? Does it matter if playing handheld only vs big screen?

I’ve played the game installed on my Deck as well as through GeForce Now streaming to the Deck when I’m at home. The experience is far better through GeForce Now.

I'll say, BG3 is extremely, extremely good. Larian really pulled out all the stops for this one. And I'm even more excited for Divinity 3, as their own combat system is even more fluid than 5e.

They knocked the story out of the park for this one though. All the characters feel much more fleshed out than divinity 2. And I love what they've done with long rests (and narratives) and food, which for the past 20 years of RPGs, has been an inventory annoyance. That, and the ability to talk your way through situations instead of having to just murderhobo everyone, haha.

Wonderful news! Patiently waiting for Xbox Series X version and hoping it doesn’t get compromised by Series S issues that the developers are currently working on.
