The White House is exploring the possibility of airdropping aid from U.S. military planes into Gaza as deliveries by land become increasingly difficult, four U.S. officials told Axios.

Just fucking absurd, considering the US withdrawing aid and support to Israels genocide would put a halt to it pretty much overnight.

Israel is already pretty fed up with Bibi. If he's costing them US aid, dude's gone in a flash.

Sadly even if we pulled all military support for Israel immediately, they still have enough weapons in stock to wipe Gaza off the map.

It would be more than enough of a blow. To even suggest withholding aid would be enough to stop this madness. Israel doesn't exactly have many regional friends, they haven't exactly been great neighbors. Meanwhile, the Arab nations are watching the same genocide we are, ones not dependent on US aid. If the US was even hinting at this, Israel will fold, immediately. This genocide doesn't happen without US support.

I disagree. I think all of BB's rhetoric has him painted into a corner to the point he can't back down come hell or high water, and anything short of a blockade or US troops holding gaza won't actually change anything but the propaganda.

Israel has won simultaneous wars with all of its neighbors, multiple times.

They gave back Sinai specifically because they lost that military advantage, though. Arab militaries now aren't the pussies they were in 1967.

Not to mention Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan have more than enough force projection now to join in this time

For Iran or Pakistan to join, they would have to go through Jordan which is unlikely given their alliance with both Israel and the US. I suppose Turkey could attack from the sea, but they are part of NATO and would be fucking themselves.

Band aids to Palestina, weapons to Israel.

exploring the possibility of maybe eventually considering sending bandaids.

Weapons got sent and UNRWA's funding happened in the blink of an eye

The proposed US deal had triple the aid to Palestine as Israel, but the GOP fucked that up.

Talk talk talk all talk @ me when they actually fucking do something.

There's 1.2 million people sheltering in Rafah. They'd need to drop 4000 pallets of MREs every day to feed them. And re-feeding syndrome may be a problem.

The proposed airlift absolutely does nothing to address shortages of potable water. Or the medical supplies needed to treat victims of Israel's genocidal assault, the public health catastrophe from the lack of sanitation, or even just everyday medical needs like diabetes or pregnancies.

Water and medicine can also be airdropped. It's a tall order, but we've done it before. The biggest logistic hurdle would be getting enough planes. It would probably have to be a NATO or UN operation, so multiple air forces could contribute aircraft and crews without pulling too many assets from other operating areas.

I wonder what stops Israel from bombing that aid immediately.

Severely jeopardizing the cash the US sends them.

And bombing evacuation corridors, groupings of people etc doesn't do that already? The US has a PR disaster on their hands right now with them sending thoughts and prayers instead of acting. If it was about that, they would have stopped already. Also, multiple incidents of soldiers firing at aid trucks, yet money still flows.

Hah, I wish. Possibly, maybe, if it's a Monday and Biden is in a bad mood. But I would bet a day's wages that Israel could "accidentally" down a US plane carrying aid and the only thing that would come of it is some finger wagging.

You would think, but the US has demonstrated that Israel gets a free pass to do whatever they want. Much like Saudi Arabia.

I texted the Biden campaign to defund Israel and they stopped reaching out to me. Israel owns the democrats in almost exactly the same way that Russia owns the GOP, and if you weren't born yesterday you'd recognize that Russia and Israel have always* had deeper ties than they're comfortable with Americans knowing about.

Democrat politicians: I don't like what Israel is doing, but politically I can't directly oppose them. Let's try to pressure them to stop the killing, seek a ceasefire, and send aid to the Gazans.

Republican politicians: wooo fuck yeah kill more brown people! Especially children!!

You: I literally cannot tell these two groups apart.

That's interesting. I've sent similar messages several times, and there's been no change in contact frequency. Maybe you unsubscribed?
