Highlight is at 3 minutes.

They actually kept everything in.

Fuck Spez

So now that it's 100% clear that he has the hatred of the reddit community, he is in the perfect position to make all the changes no one asked for, and do what the board believes is necessary to fully monetize Reddit, and then get "sacked" with a nice and hefty severance package.

He played the part of fall guy perfectly. The "I adore Elon Musk" interview was the cherry on top.

That's what I thought for some time as well but I don't think the guy that has been there since the very beginning would be the fall guy. Maybe he's just that stupid.

He could be if he wanted out anyway, and just wants that sack of cash.

Serena: “Just let it burn Alex… don’t you bring our family into that mess…”

Disregarding the current "fuck spez" thing, I'm kinda amazed people are not bored yet of bots drawing flags. r/place was only fun the first time around.

If you look between the seriously struggling Canadian flag and the big circle that says OSU! There's a carefully animated Bad Apple music video. It starts pretty much right away so it should be easy to keep track of

That has to be the most creative thing I've seen on r/place since the first time around. Very cool!

So obviously controlled by bots, what’s the point of it anymore?

It should have been one and done. I had some respect for the bot makers the first time around for writing the code and organizing people to make big things happen in such a short time but the second year of it had the majority of pixels placed by bots from the start.

I was following it closely the first year because I thought the whole thing was so cool. Pixel bot wars isn't very entertaining though...aside from FUCK SPEZ being so prominent

Some of the bot areas are even in the same spaces as last time :|

Can somebody explaine me how bots work here, if anybody needs an account? I mean I understand that you can have many accounts, but how do bots work here exactly?

If color(square[x,y]) != color(template[x,y]) then color(square[x,y]) = color(template[x,y]) else if x < max(x) then x = x+1 else x = min(x) and y = y+1 loop.

Something like this but better, with a lot of bots some of them would keep updating the same square, other would move to change other squares.

That ending. I'm truly amazed how people worked together here. Just wow.

Lol yeah I laughed out loud at the ending. The misses asked me what was funny and I just went quiet with "you won't understand", it was either that or I rant for 10 minutes and she starts thinking of divorce again.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it is scripted. Most of it all actually

It definitely didn't look as active and fast paced to me compared to last time. Still goes to show the majority are still enjoying Reddit and that's fine I guess

I don't see Spez remaining as CEO in the next six months. The moment Lemmy gets an app that isn't complete dogshit, many will flock here.

Unfortunately, that's really not how it works. The masses don't care. Just like Netflix profits increased after the crackdown, most people just use the Reddit app and don't give a fuck.

Tbh, with how small lemmy is, it's really not got much draw for most people. I still miss the long conversations and multiple comments. I've only seen like 50 comments on here at best.

Most of the Lemmy apps are better than the official Reddit app. For Android I'd Currently recommend Connect or Voyager. Both are fine. Connect is more advanced, and it took me a while to customize it to my liking. Voyager is more simple. Coming from RiF, I'm really impressed with both, because not only do they do exactly what I expect, but they even do it better.

Seriously, why do we still care? It’s like obsessing over an ex-girlfriend.

Lemmy is great. Lemmy is now.

Seriously, why do we still care? It’s like obsessing over an ex-girlfriend.

Boy, I wish /c/reddit wouldn't obsess over reddit so much!

You know, if you don't care so much you don't have to involve yourself.

Lemmy (Kbin in my case) is great but this specific sub is about Reddit. And I felt that that was a fitting post to create here.

I would understand your position a little more if this was asklemmy or another sub that at most only indirectly would have anything to do with Reddit. I didn't post the link there because I know that those subs would not be fitting.

This isn't like obsessing over an ex-girlfriend. It would be, if it were always the same person posting every Reddit news. This is the first time I made a post about Reddit over here and only because I think it's good to know for the people that weren't there.

I liked the action they took at the end, as well as the persistent advertisement of Lemmy in the literal middle of r/place.

Rage over the Reddit reposts, not over the Reddit news. Or at least keep the rage in the subs that are not mainly about Reddit.

It's not over till it ends. 🕳️
