Jedi Survivor is a shockingly good game, so excited for a third one, but sad to hear that the director has left, but then again the rest of Respawn has seemed pretty consistently talented, but he left partly because he felt it was better working with a smaller team during early Respawn which could indicate Respawn is growing too big and bureaucratic like has happened to so many talented studios before it, but the wall running in Titanfall predated him ... :S

Get Star Wars out of EAs gross grubby little hands. They don't deserve it.

I dunno. I think they're a match made in heaven. Not like Disney has shown any respect to Star Wars.

Disney also does not deserve it. Damn you George Lucas for choosing dragon levels of wealth over keeping control of star wars! Damn you!

Not as if Lucas was doing it any favors with the prequels either. Only made them to cash in on toy revenue once the original contract was over

These kind of comments disregard all of the good things that've came from Disney. Rebels, the end of the clone wars, rogue one, early mando, bad batch, andor and the high republic books and comics.

Yeah the movie issues really go back to one root cause. They needed to write and maintain a single cohesive storyline for the trilogy. Allowing the directors to also write the movies as they wanted without any apparent oversight AND switching them in the middle and back was where the issues came from.

JJ started a story, Rian came in and threw that out the window to do what he wanted, then they brought JJ back in, who basically finished the story he started, largely ignoring the middle. It wasn't cohesive in any way and felt disjointed throughout because of it.

Yep, main movies are awful everything else they did ranged from good to great (although not watched acolyte). With some better than Lucas' star wars, yet most people act like Disney ruined it. Without Disney, we'd be getting next to no star wars at all.

Solo? Resistance? Visions? Obi-Wan? Book fo Boba Fett?

Visions was mint, solo was pretty good once you got past the different actor and the way he got the solo name, i enjoyed parts of obi wan, and until mando showed up and turned it into his show (even though it was probably the best episode) i was enjoying boba.

How about Respawn work on another Titanfall and 'finish' a trilogy in a series that isn't totally overdone.

Yeah... We're living in the timeline where they already said that a number of times already. Final doesn't exist in this profit-first culture, citizens.

Don't forget that the first one is great because it has to be the breakout to be franchise-able, followed with a mediocre second because the third is now guaranteed.

Why should everyhing be in threes and so damn final in big entertainment land? I like the "will return in Story Title n+1" endings. Even when it never even materializes. Or the eternal spinoffs of spinoffs (which a lot of Star Wars kinda already are). Or the crossover in other works as a background character easter eggs (which I believe Star Wars have done occasionally too). Or Marvel type crossovers (but comics, the MCU multiverse thingy crossovers are getting a bit tiresome by now) (also no, dont bring wolverine into Star Wars, please) (no, not Deadpool or Spiderman either) (oh, the alternative is putting mandalorians in every Star Wars you say?).

Anyway, let the protagonist and closest allies survive, let him walk into the sunset, and be open for more adventures another day. In their own or as a mentor in someone else's story.

Hey, the original Star Wars was a trilogy of trilogies, each standalone and with their own final chapter. I’m sure this series can do the same, especially with the copious amount of profit.
