2020: Most year ever.

Every year after 2018 is the most year ever

I'd say 2016 but I feel like the reality is every year I remember most clearly is the most year ever.

Hey now, first second third fourth fifth time's the charm! :-P

Believe it or not, I don't in fact miss 2020.

I wouldn't say miss but otoh I've barely been to an office in 3 years, that's gotta count for something.

I miss 2020, aside from the dead people. I had free money, free time, and the world was on the verge of a new paradigm. I tasted retirement while I still have energy and health. and people had free time to protest for what they believed in.

and then we were back to rich asshole and celebrities running the world.

I learnt so many new things, I repaired my car after watching YouTube videos, I changed the screen of my phone, as well as the bread and beer making. Sigh....

I mean I lost my job, my dad lost two of his best friends to covid, and I didn't have any more money then than I do now, which is none, so, YMMV.

im sorry for your loss. I don't miss 2020 specifically, I miss my new found freedom.

We still have two weeks to go. Don't jinx it.

Are we having fun yet?

I like the idea of the engineers discussing the ethics of inventing a robot that lusts over the human body:

Engineer 1: “If we don’t do it, it’s only a matter of time until someone else does it so we may as well.”

Engineer 2: “But won’t it be really bad?”

Engineer 1: “Most likely, yes.”

Engineer 2: “👍”

If anyone has actually interacted with corporate engineers, that's exactly the kind of conversation they have, lmao.

I don't understand the order of the panels here...

2020 as the baseline joke setup, then from earliest to latest by year because the other years are "replying" to the guy complaining about being stuck in his home.

Oh the weird colour switching makes it seem like the future one is supposed to be a reply to 2023

2023 has been significantly better. I do not miss 2020.

If I ever say I miss 2020, I give you permission to shoot me in the head.

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic I went from Sweden on a three month business trip to South Korea. After two weeks I met a woman there and we started dating. Now in 2023 I've been living in Korea for 3 years already and we have 10 month old son. So although I really understand that people really dislike that year, for me it's one of the best years in my life :D
