Have y'all never touched a cat?

It's pretty great.

Especially the soft belly fur that they defend with extreme prejudice.

There is nothing better on this earth than a cat that enjoys tummy rubbins. My roomates cat loved them, and I would take like an hour long break from working on my senior project to destress and rub her tummy and scritch her chin. Her purrs weren't usually audible, but you'd feel her romble and she'd be kneading away. She's still alive and well, just me and her person graduated and went our seperate ways. I miss her a lot tbh. I'll never forget hearing a funny noise, turning around, and seeing her lapping ranch dressing out of a container my roomate left out. She loves anything salty or greasy, but wouldn't try to eat your food, just maybe lick it if you left it unattended. She did love to sniff my dinner though.

Yea, its nice and all, but have you ever got your back scratched?

Yeah back scratches are great and all, but have you ever noticed the exact moment when your nose becomes completely unblocked and you can suck as much air as you want through either nostril?

But have you ever pulled a long booger out from what seems like must have been the inside of your brain?

People actually have favorite colors and stuff like that? What makes a color become one's favorite?

Yeah, generally it's whatever they enjoy the most. Some people have multiple favorites, others only have one. Some people have context-sensitive favorites (e.g. "my favorite color is purple, except I also like cyan on dark backgrounds, turquoise on accent tiles, and if it's on a British sports car, British racing green"), others just have all-time favorites. That said, I do find it kinda weird when someone only has a single favorite thing, but humans are strange I guess.

It might be my adhd+aphantasia brain but I don't get the idea of enjoying a color.

I have aphantasia and I love so many colors! I love looking at them, the more so because I can't remember them later. But every time I look at, for example, a bright yellow, it's like experiencing the wonder of it for the first time again and it's mesmerizing. Sometimes I have a hard time trying not to stare at certain colors I see. I might be broken.

What culture are you from where having favorite colors is foreign? Genuinely asking, because favorite colors are a huge part of identity and self expression in the US.

Favourite colours are a thing, yes. But it's not really talked about past the age of 12-14, in my experience.

  1. Ninjago's Jay being Blue (important for 8 yo me)
  2. Blue's cool (literally)
  3. #0000ff (easy to write)

i really really like the glowing orange you get from coals, it's very pleasing to me.

As someone with autism I definitely have favorite and least favorite touches

Favorites:

  • cat fur
  • silk
  • porcelain
  • smooth metal

Least favorites:

  • chalk
  • unglazed pottery
  • concrete
  • paper (only in the morning)
  • slightly damp skin
  • those shirts that are really tight and stretchy

Told someone I hate wallpaper recently and they were baffled. I don't think I'm in the wrong

newly washed ceramics can eat a bag of dicks, touching them is like poking a nerve with a needle

I genuinely have a visceral reaction. My hand involuntarily reaches mach 2 while moving away from any raw pottery I have accidentally brushed up against

Man, they asked the wrong people.

I'd have trouble picking a favorite.

Live life to the fullest, and you'll revel in your senses, all of them.

I like touching my upper lip and nose, don’t know why. It makes kinda a duck face which is dumb, but that lip feel on my bottom nose is pretty great 😌
