I took a placebo when I saw this post and I can't believe how high I am right now. I did eat a couple of edibles though too.

Studies show that placebos amplify the effectiveness of actual medical interventions.

Source: placebos knowledge.

So that means that if someone doesn't believe a medicine will work when it actually does, the effect is still present but not as great?

Go away with your homeopathic memes

It's not homeopathic if you whisper "no homeo" before you swallow.

How do homeopathic memes work?
Upload one homeopathic meme on internet, dilute well and proceed to consume entire internet.

So I looked up if taking a placebo while knowingly knowing it is a placebo may actually have positive benefits, and it turns out that it may be the case:

Now I'm curious on whether this is a generalized phenomenon for humans, or only for a certain subgroup, such as those more likely to suffer from psychosomatic symptoms.

wow! i don’t even remember up-voting this…nice!

I think I'm having a negative reaction. Wtf! Why would you do this to me!
