Is this the start of "relevant Sesame Street" replacing "relevant XKCD"?
I hope not. I like my relevant xkcds.

I hope so. And then maybe XKCD / Sesame Street cross-overs...
Burn the house down and then there’s no more hole
That's why I bought a tarp. I know it's gonna take me a couple years to get round to fixing the roof but I don't want the rafters etc to rot in the meantime so I'ma chuck a big ol' tarp on top and call it good until I can get my mind to hyperfixate on fixing it.
Ah yes, I am too familiar with the temporary-permanent solution approach.
You're really just creating a bunch of tarp debt.
Sounds like my neighbor a couple of doors down. I recently learned their house is not in fact abandoned. Extremely weathered tarps over damaged sections of roof, trees growing through the wooden back porch, trees and overgrowth throughout the entire yard etc. I have a feeling whenever they pass/move away that house will either sit empty for a very long time or be torn down
ADHD etc. I know, but my brain says do a risk/issue impact analysis and do prioritise
My issue is by the time I get around to doing it, my list has grown, so I knock out the new items first, then never get around to the outstanding items.
My kitchen and bathrooms are a wreck.
Kitchen and bathroom have priority on my list. Anything that can rot must be cleaned first
Richard Scarry?
Have you seen this tv show? Worth a watch if you're bored.
TIL every tech startup has ADHD
Those place tend to have 80% of the decision makers with an obvious ADHD.
Enthusiastically blabbering about their latest hype. But somehow this is what sells to the investors.
What do you mean it doesn't need fixing? Rainy or not I won't be able to sit still for 5 minutes if I know there's a hole
Well look at mister fancy brain over here who’s all like “I see an important thing that needs to be done and then I go do it” and shit!
I'm fixing a hole where the rain comes in, and stops my mind from wandering...

Woah there cowboy. Settle down. I don't think you can fit in that hole. Prolly wouldn't feel very good.
i won’t be able to sit still for 5 minutes either if i know there’s a whole. that said, i still wouldn’t be fixing that hole
The hole could also be a metaphor.
big oof
Big woof*
big roof
Oof! Big roof woof!
This sounds like a Dwarf Fortess bug explanation as to why they're not fixing their dwellings lol.
There's a Finnish saying "Hyvän sään aikana" which translates to "When the weather is good". Fits this very well 😂
