Tangentially related- My name is the same as that of a 1970s song title and chorus and I worked in a place where a co-worker spoke that line to me every time he saw me every single day. I wanted to kill him by the time I left. I also hate that song. And no, I won't tell you what song.

It's gotta be Roxanne.

I feel you. I was in junior high when the matrix came out. My last name is Anderson. I fucking hated that shit. Misteeer Anderson... Inevitably they would wait for me to say My name is neo but they didn't get it.

Similarly, I dated a woman named Annie a few years back. Everyone of my geekier friends, when I introduced her, asked, "are you ok? Are you ok Annie?"!

Explanation?

Oh, yeah 🤦...

I'm like a neon light sometimes, take me a while to light up.

It's a lyric from an Abba song, "Can you hear the drums, Fernando?".

Yeah, yeah, the other person explained it as well 🤦... just didn't put 2 and 2 together.

It equals 4 in case you're still working on it since nobody is nice enough to just tell you.

It’s ok. I am also somewhat familiar with the song but didn’t realize that was the first lyric.
