Before the blast in Arlington, Virginia, police said someone from inside the house had fired shots as officers tried to enter.

Police said earlier they had responded to reports of someone firing a flare gun from a residence on Monday night.

Officers on the scene reported only minor injuries.

But it is not clear if the suspect was injured or apprehended.

Some residents in the surrounding area said on social media they felt their homes shake.

I'm impressed. Was expecting it to be sensationalized title.

That whole house is ready to be scooped into a dumpster.

From the headline I expected the guy had it rigged, this certainly confirms it. I expected more out than up though it's hard to see.

From what he posted on LinkedIn I doubt he'd have the expertise to rig anything.

More likely he punctured his gas main.

A news clip I saw said the dumb ass was firing off a flare gun inside the house. I’m definitely with you in thinking he didn’t intend for that to happen.

You'd have build up gas for an entire day to get an explosion like that. It's either rigged or he had a crazy amount of explosives that he accidentally set off.

It may be scooped into a dumpster after forensics have turned over each and every piece several times.

Thanks. :)

I couldn't get a link to work for some reason.

this is fucking nuts, i lived not far from that area for years and went to that mcdonald's a block or two away a few times. details are scarce, but here's the local news article

“I think it blew up the entire duplex,” one neighbor told ARLnow in the immediate aftermath. “I’m sure the family next door was evacuated before it blew up but they lost their home.”

A man named James Yoo, listed in public records as the resident of the address to which police were initially dispatched, has been repeatedly posting paranoid screeds on his Linkedin account. One post from three days ago rants against his neighbors in the adjoining duplex unit.

This is how the 'Ruling Class' stays anonymous using buffers and handlers to absorb 'digital ID'.

So for every citizen they have multiple people assigned to spy on them?

Exponentially this idea just can’t work.

So for every citizen they have multiple people assigned to spy on them?

Can confirm. I rarely ever see my neighbors, so I'm certain they are spying on me.

has been repeatedly posting paranoid screeds on his Linkedin account.

I wonder if we'll find him on LinkedIn lunatics....

Mental breakdown due to undiagnosed mental illness maybe?

or the predictable degradation of someone with an industrial meth hobby

"Jamie/Rosemary and 'Lance' got heavy especially during the last several months"

Would be ironic if they actually were spies.

After the home was listed for sale a couple of years ago, Yoo chased would-be buyers off with a knife, according to Wilson. Real estate records show the home was taken off the market on at the end of 2021.

?????? Um… what???

What kind of explosion was that? Someone blowing themselves up with explosives on purpose, or explosive fumes/gases from a drug lab or something igniting?

Any idea what they were looking for with that search warrant?

Big fireball and low velocity implies gasoline or natural gas. A drug lab is possible, but not an explosive like semtex or anfo.

My guess is they turned on the stove unlit and were hoping to take out some cops.

holy shit

Don't know, still is working for me.

I don’t doubt it, it worked the first time for me, but for whatever reason when I went back a second time and tapped on the video for it to run, instead it would send me to the news account that asked if they could use it for broadcast. Tried multiple times, and I was definitely tapping on the video and not anywhere else. Just really strange. Has to be a glitch.

I'm just imagining the one lieutenant calling the courthouse as the fireball rises into the air above the property "hey, we might want to add unlawful possession of low yield explosives to the list of charges, no we haven't entered the property yet, yes I'm sure."

You always hate to see that kind of behavior ina stable mortgage.
