eternity would be perfect for me but it unfortunately crashes. shame it hasn't been updated in 5 months

Yup it's shame eternity hasn't been got update for loooooong time
Honestly eternity has best features compared to other lemmy apps & the most customizable lemmy app out there
I hope the dev will update the app soon

It does have a nightly version for those that want to try out the newer features, they have been working on it, it just hasn't had a major release yet.

Its by far my favourite too (bcs of the just extract customisations I want - same with Infinity). Voyager might get close on visuals, but I prefer the ease/speed of use Eternity offers me.

However I never experienced crashes at all (not even with the early versions & Im using it since day 1/first apk built).

My only (and persistent) bug is related to various or possibly all sorting (posts, comments, inbox, etc), which works fine, but eg notifications in inbox don't take me to the exact post (or nowhere at all).

But I fund an ez fix - just backup your settings (in-app functionality), reset some or all settings in the app (via the app), and then restore settings (it restores everything, no additional fiddling). The whole manoeuvre takes less than a minute. Im my case resetting only sorting (not all settings) works most times.

my install just dies when when opening some posts, haven't pinned down why yet but i imagine it's some new feature it just doesn't know how to render. it also doesn't seem to support scaled sorting which is a shame

No Connect?

It is always left out from the Lemmy app party :(

Other people are just jealous that we've had the best app with the best features for longer than them

(Seriously I swapped to connect from Jerboa and Boost really shortly after the reddit migration and haven't looked back)

I tried just about a dozen apps that were around at the time Connect launched and Connect was the best by far, and the dev was updating almost daily while actively listening to feature requests.

I miss liftoff.

It was great. I moved to Thunder though and actually like it a bit more.

Liftoff didn't keep track of (or at least indicate) opened posts which irked me. Thunder has that with the same general scrolling feel.

Me too :(

I moved to Raccoon which I'm hopeful will eventually have all my fave features from other apps but we'll see.

Jerboa just feels so right. It makes my neckbeard sing through the FOSS Hills.

Can I haz all the apps

racoon eternity combustible jerboa muffed redirect thunder voyager liftoff summit - all da foss android apps meow :3

yo lemming, I heard you like lemmy so we put a lemmy in your lemmy so you can lemmy while you lemmy

Which one is the best in your opinion?

On Thunder, no complaints. The only other one I've used is liftoff so I can't give you a good comparison. All I can say is Thunder checks all the boxes I'm looking for.

I'm also using Thunder right now

Idk, eternity, idk, jerboa, idk, idk, thunder, voyager, idk (boost maybe?), summit

Sorry to ask but where's sync? I know it's closed source but it's the most comfortable Lemmy client (I tried thunder but it felt a bit clunky with how the menus are designed) that also doesn't bug out like summit (for some reason when I open a post the title and the text above it gets shrunk to the smallest height possible and it's not readable at all)

I was a faithful user of boost before I became a reddit refugee. I'm glad it was adapted to work with Lemmy.
