Do people hate you online too?

I'm pretty sure at this point I've made several people wish death on me, or at least significant misfortune.

Being a leftist who believes in the civic duty to reduce harm through voting for less right leaning politicians does not make you popular with very many people at all.

People especially hate me online.

To be completely honest I sought out a Lemmy frontend specifically because I wanted to tag you lol

This implies people are hating you irl. Bro you ok?

I’m fine, thank you.

Had blocked the user attacking me yesterday.

The least I could do about people in general.

Online it depends entirely on what I'm talking about whether I'm loathed or not

I don't usually get hate offline though, because I don't talk or leave my house

I honestly dont know or care.

I'm just some guy, I do what makes me happy, I do my best to be considerate but if my happy fucks up your day I dont care. If that isnt good enough for you, I still dont care.

I don't think that they hate me online, so much as they often misunderstand me.

I get that…people misunderstand me all the time.

At least I think I understand you better now.

peace sign

I get a lot more hate online than I do offline. Im also way more political online, so I guess thats part of it.

I think you're pretty chill though. You don't ever seem rude from what I've seen Mr. Kaboom

I hope I'm well liked, I generally try to make good comments and be helpful/positive if I can manage it. That being said, I also know I will not get along with everyone and that's ok too. You can't please everyone, it's just human nature that some people won't get along.

I don't think anyone who knows me hates me. I'm pretty easy to get along with.

Online...

That largely depends on who you talk to. Lots of people dislike my opinions.

Christofascists, white supremacists, white nationalists, racists, anti-vaxers, neo-Nazis and Nazis, anti-choicers, anti-maskers, Covid deniers, vegan extremists, incels and incucks, Puritans, the US Taliban, magats and the anti-reality crowd, the convoyists, the Save-The-Children crowd and Queen Dildo and her ragtag band of morons, PETA, the rabid pro-gun I'm-terrified-of-everything-so-I-need-a-grenade-launcher-to-buy-donuts crowd, and others seem to dislike the things I say. Of course tankies, trans extremists, the anti-gun crowd, and others who hate the first group also dislike some of the things I say. Just about everyone who lives in an echo bunker dislikes the reality I speak.

I say things that many people dislike but they tend to be the controlling-what-other-people-do mob and people who live in evil bunkers but generally I think I'm a good person and the people around me seem to think so too no matter where they lie on the political, religious, or social spectrum.

Who is Queen Dildo, please?

Online hate is interactive entertainment, its an incredibly enjoyable videogame.

I think people hate me more online than here, especially on Lemmy compared to Reddit. However, I find the people here who hate me are looking to hate in general.

Really? Huh…I left Reddit because the users there were more toxic. Sorry to hear that.

I don’t hate you, though, at least.

Implying I'm hated in real life? I try my best to be reasonably polite and mind my own business. I guess that is reason enough for some.

People hate me everywhere :( Odd thing about that though, one consistent theme in my life is it's always the commoners who hate me while the authority figures don't mind me. With only one exception, the few times authority figures didn't like me, they were commoner fill-ins. As for why they hate me, it has been traced to both marginalization and gossip.
