Happy April Fool's here's your System of a Down meme

“Why’d you leave the keys up on the table?”

Because I don't trust in my self-righteous suicide. Otherwise I'd have put them in the fridge like usual.

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THE POOR!!??

This really spoke to me, as a poor 12 year old ineligible for the draft

It really spoke to me as someone who joined the USMC in 2003 and got shot at in Anbar

I was 17 when their first album came out... Now I feel old lol

That first album snagged me hard. I think I still owe Columbia house $16 for it lmao

I don't think I ever actually paid Columbia House anything but they just kept sending me more CDs lol

I mean, I already felt old, but I was 16 the first time I saw them and their first album didn't come out until like 2 months later.

Also, my kids have both been listening to System (involuntarily) since birth.

You, what did you make, a meme?

How do you make disorder... disorder

It was Rush for me, but yes.

Also Yes.

Same and same. Then system. Then primus

Please allow me to introduce Kanaan

Im currently in as much love for this band as any band ive ever clicked with.

Good listening!

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

Kanaan

Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.

I'm open-source; check me out at GitHub.

Hey, I take exception to that. I was in fact thirteen when I discovered them.

And then you start to go through your dad's old record collection, and realize "damn, the old man was on to something"

Except now he's properly foxnews brainwormed and is mad at Roger Waters for getting all political at his shows

Tbf Roger Waters is the most hamfisted and annoying of the politically involved musicians

Point is, he's always been political

If "not until Animals, their 10th album", counts as "always" then yeah sure

Dark Side of the Moon is definitely political, if you want to set a cutoff. Also the first he had a lot of writing credit for, as I understand it. I'm not prepared to argue for earlier than that.

But even Animals, in 1977, is 40+ years before people started complaining about him being too political. It's a ridiculous claim that deserves no serious consideration.

The problem isn't that he's political. The problem is he has kid rock's level of insight. His takes are absurdly dumb and he bloviates about them at length any time he's in front of a microphone. He believes the UK shouldn't have entered WW2 for God's sake. He's a blowhard and a moron, and he's really dialed it up the last few years.

Alright cool, whatever. That's a different conversation. Have a nice day

That was exactly the same as my original point lol

Tbf Roger Waters is the most hamfisted and annoying of the politically involved musicians

Pepperoni and green peppers, mushrooms, olives, chives

Is it just me or does the lead singer sound like squidward when he peforms live?

I would do anything to be able to experience listening to SOAD for the first time again !! Magical
