You may have to face-off against some people who wonder why you posted this.

Man, Travolta got himself really..... Caged in.....

Was he briefly John Travolta in 1997? Wtf happened?

For the longest time, I refused to watch anything he was acting in. I think it was sometime between maybe 1997 and 2002 when I realized how much his movies had started to suck.

More recently though, I caved and decided to watch Renfield, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's not like the greatest movie ever, but I thought it was cute. And I actually really enjoyed Nic in this movie for the first time in decades.

I totally get that, but for what it's worth, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is worth giving a shot, too! It breaks the 4th wall in a refreshingly humorous & self-deprecating way. Loved it!

I'd be willing to give it a try. I haven't watched much of his more recent filmography, and what I've seen was not in chronological order.

After seeing him in Renfield, I did end up watching Color Out of Space and Willy's Wonderland. Neither of those movies was something magnificent the way I view his performance in Renfield, but I enjoyed them. Well, Willy's Wonderland was meh, but I really liked Color Out of Space for what it is worth.

Pig is supposed to be quite good. In fact I think I'll go watch it.

Pig is a really unique and fun movie. John Wick meets Top Chef, or something like that...

5 more...

Visited his grave once. It's really nice.

I was gonna say you missed his bald phase, but then I saw the joke.

Last night i looked at this briefly and just thought "cool, thats nic cage through the years" this morning i look again and i realise what i missed and now im giggling by myself in the bathroom. Thankyou OP.

Looks like he stopped aging somewhere around '02.. then 2022 opened his eyes.

Need to get my hands on those magic pills that make one's hair grow back

Now here's a story...

okay never mind the John Travolta picture but oh my gosh 1982, I never knew Nicholas Cage was kinda sorta handsome. Maybe he worked really hard with a photographer to get that shot.

That was pretty funny. (1997 Faceoff if anyone missed it.)

I was a projectionist when that movie came out. As a consequence, there are parts of that movie that I watched and parts of the audio I couldn't ignore dozens of times.

Sometimes that didn't make me hate the movies that came out when I was a projectionist.

This was not one of those times.

Why is John Travolta in the middle? Did he get a role that was supposed to go to Nicolas Cage in 1997 or something?
