My favorite part of all this is that they actually have nothing on her. All their attacks are based on surface level observations and blatant racism, not anything about policy or scandals or anything. Since she's inside the window of two years, it would not count as a first term.

The 22nd Amendment states that a person can only be elected to the office twice, unless they've served two or more years of somebody's else's term, in which case they can only be elected once. Five months away from the next inauguration, it would change nothing if Harris had to take over the Presidency for some reason.

If history is any example, it can get much, much worse than this. This is our early shot at holding the line against the nutjobbery fully taking over.

The reason why people like this keep getting elected is because people will go into the voting booth and vote strictly on party lines. They don't consider the platform of any given candidate they just go down the line and check all the boxes that say Republican/Democrat.

I don't think the average voter actually checks voting records of the candidates and sees if they align with what is good for them, their neighbour, community, etc. They just assume that 'their' party are the good guys.
