Can’t believe that people are spreading the left-handed agenda on this apolitical shitposting sub. A hundred years ago, everyone was right-handed. But these days, the sinister left-handeds are forcing their unnatural left-handed ideology onto our children! Disgusting!

The older I get, the less a problem being left handed has become. Mostly now it just results in bad handwriting and occasionally awkwardly holding something. But yeah, it sucks when you're in school.

Same, scissors and tools that companies try to make too ergonomic are the only problems now. Well that and on the rare occasions that I have to hand write stuff it still gets all over the side of my hand.

And if there was a lefty desk, a righty took it because it just felt 'more comfortable'.

Our schools have always had a surplus of these. Normally the left handed ones would be on the far left wall in classrooms.

As a lefty, gtfo with this. Just open your binder and rest your elbow on the left side. Or grab the one lefty desk designated per school district.

I have never actually seen one of those types of desks even once.

Do they actually exist or are they just a tool to scare left handed people? /s

As a fat left handed person, these desks are one of the main reasons I dropped out of college.

Multiple forms of oppression can exist at the same time. Get out of here with the boomer humour. Also, I've never seen one of those desks in my life. Why not use a normal desk?

Calling it "boomer humour" instead of bigotry is sugar coating. Let them own their hateful shit.

At one of my schools, this was the normal desk. And yes, lefty here.

It's a joke, man. It's not that serious. These desks are common in many US schools.

Naaa. it really isn't hard to teach the left hand to use a righthanded mouse. I got used to it within a day.
I'll take some minor awkwardness that is easily overcome vs being someone's property and being denied a livelihood any day.

Look at you casually suggesting genocide of my people

i might not be a lefty, but i sympatize with it since those are better for scoliosis (at least on my case)

And all of them will have gum stuck to the underside of the desk.
