This is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the testicles.

I give it a 5/7, perfect score.

I don’t even remember hearing about it till like the First Pandemic

They're gonna call the next one the Bidemic or something stupid just watch

Well, see, Pandemic is under the Bidemic umbrella! So is Polydemic but they're frequently forgotten...

Pandgate

The Return of the Mac: Pandemic ii, Electric Boogaloo or some such

If you answered "yes" to "Are you good at spotting Loss memes" before realizing this meme was Loss, you are not good at spotting Loss memes

I said "FUCK" loudly in my head after I answered yes only to realize this was loss. I'm such a fucking poser.

i like how this meme morphed into its own pictogram

this is both fascinating and stupid at the same time

this is both fascinating and stupid at the same time

Like mankind itself

The best time for this was 16 years ago. The second best time was right when you posted this.

Guess what this is

If it wasn't for the third panel height difference, this would be a perfect loss representation. Since it was made in 1994, I can only assume that this is what Buckley traced over for his comic.

Alternatively,

Are you winning, son?

No. This is loss.

Oh crap did I get old all of the sudden? What is the loss meme? I have no idea!

Here you go. knowyourmeme.com is an excellent site for questions like this!

Sooooo, I'm guessing the authors wife had a miscarriage, he made a strip about it and got mocked to hell and back? Wut?

I believe it was because it was such a weird and dramatic shift in tone from the regular CAD content, which was not all that great to begin with. You probably had to be there (I wasn't).

Hbomberguy did a video on it that explains it well I think: https://youtu.be/TebCHHCw9rY

Xkcd did something similar but afaik nobody made a big deal about it, only that Randall kept the depressed tone for quite a long time, after which people started to complain

Honestly, I am probably exactly the right age for this and I just learned what it was a couple months ago. Because the format is so bland it just blends in with the doom scrolling, I never bothered to find out what it came from and most certainly never even noticed any of its derivatives were trying to be the loss meme instead of making some mediocre point or art.

Depends how old you are, this is quite an old meme so it's possible you're too young to be very familiar with its origin, but I just don't know your age

Hmmm... grade is...
1 / 1 For effort...
1 / 1... Oh, perfect scores!

Shouldn't the grades be

1/1~1~

And

11/1__

I mean, I did mine without dividers to run it. Let me try again with four scores:

1 | 1i
11 | L

That's 1 point from the first judge, a 1i for the second, an 11 from the third and an L from the fourth. All four judges have no idea what this is, all I asked was a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
