What dog name pairs well with Olive?

Thinking of naming one dog Olive, what might pair well? Looking for Milo and Otis vibes.

Martini

You could call it marty!

That's just really funny to me to make a diminutive out of a diminutive. Martini already means Marty. Both Martinez and Martin, which they are respectfully diminutives of come from the Latin Martinus for a child dedicated to the god Mars.

You could use Marti as a nickname.

Bonus points if the dog is teeny. Mar-teeny

Martini.

I was going to say Yiu, as in "Olive you" (I love you), but "you" comes up way to much in regular language, would confuse the poor dog.

Perfect! A lot of these work together but only work as a pair. This one stands alone as well.

Caper

Pimento

Prosciutto

Oyster

Scallop

My wife and I have an Australian shepard named Olive. We've already committed to getting a mini and naming it caper

I've got a mini and am looking into getting another mini or a full size. Caper sounds like a fantastic name considering how sneaky my current one is.

Martini. Marti for short, which has the benefit of being ungendered.

You could do Olive and Ollie for that sweet alliteration.

Alternatively, Olive and Chives is pretty good too.

...the other reindeer

Olive! Olive!

?

Ok I've only seen this movie once, but I remember a part where one of the picasso-ey background characters cheers olive on while doing this weird thing with his hands

Hugh.

As in "Olive, Hugh!"

::: spoiler Explaining the joke "all of you" or "I love you" :::

I had a great-aunt named Olive whose husband's name was Ham (short for Hamilton).

Always known as Ham and Olive.

Pimento

I was terrified he was going to headbutt my penis

E: I guess more appropriate for this particular episode -- everyone knows that the head is the hammer of the body

Pimento! Especially if they're feisty.

Thyme or Oregano. Can't go wrong with traditional Greek flavours?

Clearly Gerald is name for your other dog!

First dog was named Olive. Decided to stick with the food theme and the second dog was named Nutmeg.

Er?

That way you could have Olive & er. And if you get a third one you could call it John.

(Their nicknames could also be "Last", "Week", & "Tonight":-P)
