The intro music from the American TV show Knightrider
The one from The Expanse (not the theme, the one that all the "phones" in the series have).
I would like a link for that!
The main theme from Laputa: Castle in the Sky. It's been that for the past 7 or more years. May change it to another Ghibli movie theme song.
The Doctor Who theme. Specifically the theme from David Tennents run.
At some point the the Eccleston/Tennent run I had just the sound of the TARDIS landing as my ringtone. When it would go off in a crowd it was a great was to spot my fellow geeks.
56k modem
That's lit
Mute
Formula 1 intro tune. A call will not be left unnoticed.
That's... not and never will be the true f1 intro for me.
Fleetwood Mac, The Chain is the one, true, F1 theme.
Yeah, I'm old... I'm nostalgic... I can't let go.
Iconic theme music I agree. But the new one has some epic vibe and grandeur, I really like it.
Professer Professorson's ringtone from Community. It's the 'suspense sound' Dun Dun DUUNNN!
It's a fantastic ringtone when it goes off at odd times. Like during a bad guys lecture in D&D.
The Steel Samurai ringtone from Ace Attorney. I don't know why I love it so much.
That's hilarious, I have that too, nice taste. Like the Steel Samurai theme or the ringtone version from Phoenix's phone? ace attorney has such excellent music
My current one is Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger.
I know someone who has Phoenix Wright's ringtone as their own ringtone, and hearing it go off for the first time felt like a shock, being a huge Ace Attorney fan lmao
Mine is always on silent
Funny to see how everyone here tries to have music and stuff that's fun and is pleasant to those around them then you have me who has plus boy to encourage me to respond before my ring tone gets to the horny bit
Even though my phone's on vibrate all the time. Lol.
Metal gear codec call
This is the way.
Daybreak and I only hear it if I have my AirPods in when my phone rings.
I hope you do the little finger wag like Troy does when Abed hums it every time it plays
Every time. I get a lot of weird looks in public.
Tetris.
Instantly recognisable, loud enough to hear, raises a smile from strangers on the bus.
"Highway to the Danger Zone" -Kenny Loggins when my wife calls
Good choice. I really enjoyed both top gun movies. I actually went to see top gun maverick twice because the first time was fantastic and i just had to see it again. I wasnt dissappointed either.
Linus & Lucy , but my phone has been on silent for the past decade.
One of the Samsung default ones. It's apparently called "Space Bell". My phone is basically always on vibrate though, so it really doesn't matter much.
Anything I use as a ringtone will cause me to hate it, so I use the Homing grenade sound from Borderlands 2. Looking back on that decision, there are more useful sounds to be instinctually aware of, but boy do I bolt awake when a random bandit has a homing grenade.
My notification sounds are the skill level up sound from Borderlands 2 and the Void Reaver denonation sound from Risk of Rain 2 for important things. I've also used the notification sound and train whistle from Rollercoaster Tycoon.
If I were to change my ringtone today, I'd probably go with Run! from Deep Rock Galactic, or one of the battle themes from FTL. Maybe the baseline from a Death by Glamour cover, but I'd fear I'd come to hate that sound, so maybe not.
See, I have my alarm sound to be different from my ringtone, otherwise I'd end up hating my ringtone too
Rob Bass and DJ EZ Rock's "It Takes Two" (just looping the part you're thinking of).
But a version without the sound effects. Yes, it's amazing.
Slayer - Raining Blood
Bananaphone
one of the pre put ones
Theme from 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' by Ennio Morricone.
I know it's goofy, but it's some sort of chip tune song that played in the background of an app patcher program that I used forever ago to install some pirated game or app or something.
I have no idea what the song is called and it doesn't seem to exist on the Internet. It's just on my phone as an .MP3 file (and on my computer within a sketchy program called patch.exe). Dunno why I drifted to it.
My text notification tone is the notification sound from RollerCoaster Tycoon 1/2 (ex: "3 peeps have drowned" popup). It works well.
I can't find it anymore but for the longest time it was the yell the headless bomb guys make in the first Serious Sam game.
Right now it is a .mid file of A-ha's Take On Me. I plan to change it up soon though. I always use .mid files because they sound classic. The soundfonts, the lack of sustain, everything.
suicide is painless.
"GTA V Franklin ringtone"
A trimmed down instrumental version of "Beneath the Mask" from Persona 5. I found the song to have a really nice vibe to it.
I trimmed down Glimpse of a Memory from Persona 4 Golden as my ringtone. Honestly it sounds very close to a normal ringtone.
Doesn't matter it starts off quiet because the phone vibrates anyway.
Back when I had a loud phone, my text message alert was the Icarus 1 Distress Beacon from the film Sunshine.
Devilish Influence from Ninja Gaiden 1.
The Exorcist theme.
Before I switched from conventional communication, my ringtone for the longest time was the unsuspecting sound of a baby crying, which once served as an April Fool's joke but also something that predated and went longer than that. Now that conventional phones have tried to make it more and more difficult to actually get a custom ringtone, I don't know what the future holds but know the change I made gives me my best chances of having a ringtone tradition.
I made my own remix of crab rave
The Avengers theme. My alert is Cap shouting "Language!"
I've been using the Stonecutter's theme from the Simpsons for over 15 years. It never gets old.
The Ballad of Serenity.
Default Android ringtone for calls.
However my signal/whatsapp message tone is Sergeant Doakes from Dexter saying "Surprise Motherfucker!", which occationally turns some heads in public.
Mainly because I named my phone The Slab.
It's a Note 10+, and I did the whole notification profile as different Courage screams.
My notifications jingle (for the rare occasions I turn on notifications) is the Superintendent's turn-on sound from Halo 3: ODST. (The first two seconds here.) My ringtone is some weeb shit.
midis are great, have a bunch on my phone from NES & other classics. zelda secret flute, f-zero start screen, metal slug theme... so good.
I have a ringer that starts at a highish frequency and then with each ring drops lower. I find the changing frequency helps me pick it out from background noise.
Whatever Samsung has as default. Not sure I've ever even heard it
The vyzvánění I'm using is the song Smejko a Tanculienka – Strapatá
My general ringtone is a section from Henry Mancini's Pink Panther theme. For family and friends I use Leo Kottke's guitar version of Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.
Mine is Carnival from the default samsung tones. My 7yo wouldn't let me pick up the phone because she loves the music
I clip portions of music that I make in GarageBand on my phone for my ringtones. Right now it’s a song called Cave In. That or a monophonic version of Grande Valse.
Metal Gear "Spotted!" sound followed by Metal Gear Codec ringing.
I like the kind of ringtones that the people who know it know it and to everyone else it's just a nice ringtone. I've had an elevator version of the Mass Effect theme, and also the intro song from Monsters Inc .
Imperial Klaxon - a sound effect from a Star Wars movie. And my notification sound is the B1 "Roger Roger".
Hearthstone theme song. Hasn't changed in like 7 years. Maybe some day, but I'm conditioned to it now. Id probably never answer it if it made a different ring. Not that I ever answer it now.
The default one.
I just started watching through 24 again and have been really tempted to figure out how to get the phones as my ring tone.
Only problem is I'll never hear it because my phone is on silent 100% of the time.
Cyberpunk 2077 Rebel path Cello version
"Mood Matrix - Get A Grip On Yourself" from the Ace Attorney series, with a bit snipped off the beginning so it gets right into it.
Machinae Supremacy - Death from Above
The Fortnite default dance music
Music from the first stage of Marble Maddness from the NES
The guardian target lock music from Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
I have to change mine semi-regularly because after a year or so I'll start thinking i hear my phone ring while it isn't. Currently it's the Nokia 3310 Badinerie ringtone
Hellsing intro
Right now it's one of the retro riffs that pixel phones can use but I'm thinking of changing it to the legend of dragoon menu music
Bold of you to assume my phone hasn't been on vibrate for the last 15 years.
I think I heard it once in the past ten years. I was very confused by this sound.
This is the way
This is the way
This is the way
It still has a ringtone setting. What are you hiding from us? /s
Who the fuck doesn't leave their phone on silent/vibrate?
Monkey Island main theme, 1 bit PC speaker version
Monkey Island main theme, but the one from Tales as it's shorter and doesn't take ages to ramp up.
I remember typing out the notes to Monkey Island on my old Nokia in the early 2000s. Took me ages, but it was so worth it :)
I haven't taken my phone off vibrate for 4 years
brrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The intro music from the American TV show Knightrider
The one from The Expanse (not the theme, the one that all the "phones" in the series have).

Bojack horseman intro. Just perfect.
Not BoJack's ringtone? Or one of Diane's?
Weirdly enough.. Shellshock - 8-bit (Victory Tune)
Even though my phone's on vibrate all the time. Lol.
Metal gear codec call

It's a mashup someone made of Bill Cosby doing that scat singing nonsense thing he did over the music tracks from Eminem's "Without Me".
Discord Rare mix.
Ringtone is made to be one but more fun.
Anything I use as a ringtone will cause me to hate it, so I use the Homing grenade sound from Borderlands 2. Looking back on that decision, there are more useful sounds to be instinctually aware of, but boy do I bolt awake when a random bandit has a homing grenade.

On my previous phones I used a segment of Heavy breakfast machine, a classic.
Mine is the sfx that ED-E (from fallout new vegas) plays when it detects hostile NPCs.
Add the sound of Boone picking off Legionnaires, and you've perfected it!
Mine is super dated, I've been using it for like 10 year now. It's the 8bit styled Bob's Burger's theme from the Burgerboss episode.
When we do a rewatch of the series I always reach for my phone when it plays during that episode's end credits.
The intro to Cantaloop. Has just the right blaring horn to catch my attention even at a low volume.
Muppets singing Ode to Joy.
Value Selects "Midnight Pretenders" cover
My own remixed version of my favourite game music.
Forza Horizon 5 main menu OST. Doesn't matter that I use my phone on vibrate though.

An Excerpt from the "Good Omens" Title Theme
Metal Gear "Spotted!" sound followed by Metal Gear Codec ringing.

You know that ringtone from the movie Jurassic Park 3? The plumbing jingle I think? That. XD
I like the way ringtones used to be, and when someone recognizes it, it's a good laugh.
The Trigger Happy TV moment when the phone rings, and you just imagine "HELLO? HELLO?! NO, MATE, I'M BEING DIGESTED! WHAT? NO IT'S CRAP" 😁
Fort minor remember the name instramental. I get calls so rarely these days i had to look it up in my settings to be sure.
Recent ones have been "Popular Monster" - Falling in Reverse and "Slumber Party" - Britney Spears.
Two more cool ones I used to have:
