A controversial tier list

OP forgot beer, wine, liquor. Not very comprehensive.

In Germany, it feels like water is a fancy request and beer is the simple tap option.

Coffee isn't even on your list.

Go to your room and think long and hard about what you've done.

Root beer is definitely A tho

Especially if it's like a local craft root beer in a glass bottle. That shit slaps. Also cream soda.

S: water and locally sourced milk

F: Everything else

If you think about cows having to be pregnant constantly it makes the milk almost go sour... Even though I agree.

I love yummy milk. I hate the breast milk perverts steal from cows tho. Real milk comes from plants.

Milk and Dr Pepper are in F tier too, only water graces the top spots

Disagree with milk. It can stay in B because it makes cappuccino and latte possible.

If you disagree, it means your opinions differ than mine.

Lactose is bad for the majority of the world population. F tier drink.

Give me that oat milk any day.

Careful with processed oat milk tho (Oatly for example). Normal oat milk is good.

Any more info on this? What am I being careful for?

Sugar, mainly. Oatly adds amylase to their mix which breaks down the oat starch into maltose, a type of sugar. While that is happening naturally during the digestive process since our saliva contains amylase, it doesn't happen in that amount, which means Oatly has significantly more sugar than natural oat milk. Maltose also has a glycemic index of 105, which means that it raises the blood sugar level more rapidly than even pure glucose. For reference, cane sugar has a GI of 60, lactose of 46. This means the sugar level of Oatly is effectively higher than Coca-Cola's.

Interesting ty for the reply/info. I drink cold brew every morning at work, I don't add sugar, but use a little oat milk.

I think we have Califia at work, you know anything about their process? I'd imagine it's the same.

If it's creamy, it's likely processed. Natural oat milk is quite watery. But just a shot in your coffee isn't worth worrying about anyway. It's just that many advertise it as a healthy, daily drink and for that, it has too much sugar.

Not my fault your feeble bodies cannot handle the cow juice

Dear @Resol@lemmy.world,

What do you dislike about milk?

Thank you for your time,

@Faresh@lemmy.ml

Dear @Faresh@lemmy.ml,

Milk is only ever useful during your very first few years of your life after birth, after that, though, it doesn't do much. Add that to the fact that quite a bit of folks are lactose intolerant, and also the fact that I just dislike the taste of milk. That's all.

Thanks for you attention.

@Resol@lemmy.world

Weird ass licorice, cherry, compost drink...

The one true non water drink is ginger beer.

Milk is shit, other than that I agree

How many bones have you broken?

Stopped counting after the tenth guy /s

Fun fact: milk without extra vitamin D, actually reduces the calcium content in your bones.

S: carbonated water A: water, juice (from 100% fruit) F: everything else

Iโ€™m gonna die on that hill.

Why not eat the fruit? That way, you aren't consuming 30 oranges worth of sugar.

I'll just consume 30 oranges to quench my thirst.

You should drink water for thirst, but maybe that's just me.

Juice has water in it. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Technically, all edible beverages contain water, actually. ๐Ÿค”

By that logic, urine is 96% water.

Yeah, you get water in juices, but also a metric fuckton of sugar (fructose). You know what doesn't have sugar in it and quenches the thirst? Water.

By that logic, urine is 96% water.

By that logic, water is just the main ingredient of urine.

Buddy, drink water if you're thirsty.

I usually mix (apple/grape) juice with carbonated water and drink one glass of orange juice occasionally. Its not like Iโ€™m drinking 2l a day.

I'm only asking because people seem to have the wrong idea that 100% fruit juice is 100% healthy.

And I've seen people replace water with fruit juice.

Yeah no. Thats not definitely not me.

But youโ€™re right a lot of people seem to think that.

Some people want a flavored drink. If it's between fruit juice and soda though, juice is healthier and imo tastes better as well. Blackberry Izze is the best.

Juice is healthier, but not by a huge margin, tbh.

You can mix the fruit juice with water, that way you have flavored water without a ton of sugar.

While they do offer other nutrients (not a lot, mind you, as we're throwing away most of them), fruit juices have almost as much sugar as sodas. We were never meant to consume fruit like this - we're literally extracting the worst part of them.

Yeah I usually mix mine with carbonated water, they are too sweet anyway. Once mixed, they are likely less than 1/4th of the sugar of a coca cola and I only have 1 a day if I even have one. I think at that point the health impact is negligible.

There are really people out there who like Dr Pepper?

There are people who donโ€™t?

I would put it below the f tier on this list

Iโ€™m always amazed by how differently human tastes work. A cold can of Dr. Pepper is an absolute delight in my mind, a rare treat since I try to avoid drinking sweetened sodas.

But I know not only can humans differ in our enjoyment of the exact same experience, we may very well be experiencing them differently. Like how I despise cilantro and my wife loves it. Or how I canโ€™t drink 80% of the craft beers in my area because something in the heavily hopped IPAs doesnโ€™t hit my taste buds right, but my brothers-in-law canโ€™t get enough.

My taste buds sound similar to yours. Whats your take on onions?

Raw I generally say no. I really need to be in the right mood or they need to be very sparing. Powerful flavor.

But if you cook โ€˜em Iโ€™m generally on board. Especially if theyโ€™re pressed into a burger patty, like a patty melt. Mmmmmmm.

Fr. Coke and root beer are always available if Dr. P is. Both are far better than that flat ass shit.

Most soda is evil tho. Zevia ftw.

Put breast milk (cow and human) below F tier, but keep plant milk where it is

In honor to this comment I'll be making myself r lavenderish pumpkin spice latte with a local mylk brand. .

OP have you had mello yello? I'd put that in B tier. This is the only change I would make.

Lol this is the first drink tier list that i agree with. Mountain dew gets defaulted to f because the abc isnt long enough for it.

7Up for my homies who can't have any caffeine, though, solid A-B tier.

Milk gives creates stinky gas in my belly that comes out my poo hole. E tier for me. Dr. Pepper has just as much sugar as the rest, so automatically F tier.

Your ancestors weren't milk drinkers and that now makes you inferior to me. Rise up lactose digesters.

Milk does get the E, but I still enjoy certain pops once and awhile.

Milk should be with juices in D tier. A tier is reserved for coffee and tea B tier is fermented stuff like wine and beer C tier is mixed stuff from superior tiers and lower tiers, capuccio, latte, shandy, distilled drinks

Soda is for children and milk is for babies.

should be milk in S tier and water in A tier (good alternative for when youโ€™re out of milk). anything else isnโ€™t even worth mentioning

You mean milk should be in D tier and water should remain in S tier.

Weak bone milk drinker.
